TREATING SHIN SPLINTS

In some cases, an X-ray or other imaging studies can help identify other possible causes for your pain, such as a stress fracture, which is much less common.

Hands on treatments like chiropractic, RMT massage & acupuncture are also quit effective. Keep moving, maintain a healthy weight, stretch and improve your overall posture too. How can Custom Orthotics help treat Shin Splints?
Use orthotics or insoles. Studies show that shock-absorbing insoles can be the most effective way to prevent shin splints, since they promote ideal alignment of the bones and muscles in the feet and ankles, and help to stabilize the foot while running. Poor shock-absorption & alignment of the feet can effect the biomechanics of weight distribution. Custom orthotics can make a huge difference.
