Bunion Try Vancouver Orthotics
A bunion is a bony bump that forms on the joint of the big toe (MTP joint). They form when your big toe is pushed up against your other toes, forcing the joint of your big toe to stick out of alignment. The skin over the bunion might appear to be red and sore. The exact cause is unclear however, bunions may develop as a result of genetics, stress on your foot from wearing shoes that are too small or a medical condition, such as arthritis. At Vancouver Orthotics we offer natural non-surgical bunion relief and treatment. The use of custom orthotic inserts with bunion modifications can provide relief and even prevent the development of uncomfortable and painful bunions.
TREATING BUNION
Try wearing wider shoes with a low heel and soft sole. In most cases, bunion pain is relieved by wearing wider shoes with adequate toe room and using other simple treatments such as bunion pads, ice pack or bunion splints to reduce pressure around the big toe.
